Bei Retinopathia pigmentosa (auch: Retinitis pigmentosa) engt sich das Sehfeld röhrenförmig von außen nach innen ein. Dem sich immer mehr verengenden Tunnelblick gehen meist Nachtblindheit und der Verlust an Sehschärfe voraus. Weitere Symptome sind u.a. eine erhöhte Blendempfindlichkeit sowie Störung des Kontrast- und Farbsehens.
Im späteren Stadium kann Retinopathia Pigmentosa zur Blindheit führen.
